Traditional: May 30

U.S. Memorial Day History and Information on U.S. War Memorials
Memorial Day started off as a somber day of remembrance, a day where we in America go to cemeteries and place flags or flowers on the graves of our war dead. It is a day where we remember our ancestors, our family members, our loved ones who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
Support the troops End the war
Take action May 26th, 27th, 28th.
If Americans across the country rise up and demand an end to this war, Congress will find the courage to take decisive action, and the president will find he has no choice.
Stephanie Miller on MSNBC - Morning TV
May 1, 2007 on 10:14 am | In Fun Stuff | 1 CommentI think she has done a great job filling in for Imus who was recently fired for his severe case of cranial rectal inversion. I had never heard of her before and I am not aware of her radio showing airing in my area. I hope MSNBC decides to offer her a permanant position in the mornings, and if so I hope she accepts. If not I hope a local radio station will pick up her show. I can’t be as sure I would listen to the radio in the mornings but I have no doubt I would watch her on MSNBC. Otherwise I may stop watching MSNBC TV in the mornings unless they find a suitable replacement for Imus. My vote goes to Stephanie Miller hopefully I am not the only one that feels this way and Dan Abrams will make her an offer she can’t refuse.
Impeaching vice president Cheney
April 27, 2007 on 2:46 pm | In Junk Drawer, Fun Stuff | 1 CommentThere’s HUNGER For Impeachment. Will We Feed It
With his usual visionary courage, in introducing H.Res. 333 Dennis Kucinich is saying what we all know, but which most of the rest of our behind the curve politicians are still too afraid to say. The Bush administration, and Richard B. Cheney in particular, has committed high crimes against the people and interests of the United States of unprecedented magnitude. We have created a VOTING action page on this issue which already has over 15,000 submissions just since yesterday. VOTING ACTION PAGE: Should there be an impeachment investigation NOW
Legalize Immigration
March 20, 2007 on 6:10 pm | In Vote for ... | 1 CommentIt seems relatively simple to my simple mind, either legalize immigration or enforce the immigration laws. I have nothing against those immigrants who are not here legally, most of them are hard working good people. In most cases they are simply trying to provide the best they can for their family and themselves. I don’t blame them at all. I blame our government for not keeping pace with the reality. Ignoring small problems almost always leads to big problems. So what is the answer? I say some tough enforcement and changes in the law could solve the issue. Everyone acts like it is so complex an issue that we should do nothing but wait and see, or at least that is how I interprete their actions, or lack there of. It is easy to point out the problem but it takes a little backbone to actually do something about it. Our government is full of spineless wimps who only no how to whine and point their finger at their enemies. It is such a simple problem I am sure a simple solution is in order. And of course it’s all about politics.

2008 Presidential Campaign Starting Way Too Early
March 4, 2007 on 5:09 pm | In Vote for ... | 1 CommentWow here it is March 2007 and the candidates are out there campaigning like crazy. It’s all about the money and they are trying feverishly to get their hands on as many dollars as they can. To me they are all drinking from a poison wel but that is the nature of the beast. It’s too early for me to make any predictions or to support one candidate or the other. They still have to win me over and I am very open minded. Obama seems to have come out of now where or at least I didn’t know who he was several months ago. Al Gore has an Oscar and lots of cool stuff planned for the summer so even though he hasn’t announced I do look for him to get in at the last minute. Running for president gets in your blood so I doubt he will be able to resist the temptation. The Civil War in Iraq is likely to be the biggest campaign issue but if that was to shift to the environment Gore would win hands down. He and all the other Democrats seem to be on the right side of the Iraqi Civil War issue so if they don’t don’t screw it up they should have at least some advantage. Nothing is a given so who knows how it will be when the time comes to make a decision. It should turn out to be an interesting campaign season and once they start spending money I hate to think about how many television commercials we will be bombarded with. This is a good time to own a TV advertising outlet like Clearchannel, or at least that’s my opinion.
Boston Authorities are Paranoid
February 1, 2007 on 3:42 pm | In Junk Drawer | 2 CommentsA marketing campaign was mistaken as an IED. Give me a break Boston PD. A cartoon promotion with a funny neon dude giving the finger is no treat to national security. I can’t help but wonder exactly how they determined it was dangerous? The placement? OK then let’s just freak out every time someone litters on a bridge or over-pass. Or could it be the batteries? Boy that means my kids have a toy box full of dangerous devices. Oh yeah it had wires!!! Oh shit look out!. I would think they would be able to determine the harmless nature of this in short order. It’s not as if somebody claimed it was a bomb or something. I hope whoever first called this in is proud of themselves. We live in a paranoid world thanks to september 11th. Which of course has been repeatedly magnified by the Bush administration’s repeated cries that we should all cower in fear. Let’s all be afraid together so the big bad people will not get us. What ever happened to the only thing to fear is fear itself. The government is playing into the hands of terrorists by insisting we should all be afraid and look out for bad guys around every corner.

Flavored Coffee
January 1, 2007 on 3:40 pm | In Junk Drawer | 5 CommentsI like Suisse Mocha, and it sure is better than plain old ground whole bean coffee for a change. I take my coffee black and drink coffee all day every day. But I do like to make a change every now and then to something with a little more flavor & sweetness. Today my choise is Suisse Mocha and it really hit the spot!
Happy New Year!
December 31, 2006 on 1:05 pm | In Fun Stuff | 2 CommentsBe safe if you drink don’t drive. Looking forward to a great new year ahead. I have a few things I should add to my new years resolutions. This year if I make any of them formal I will stick too them 100% for sure. Maybe I will give it some thought and consider posting them on here. Then maybe I could post an update on progress every so often. Or maybe not.
HAPPY NEW YEAR!
