Fertilize heavy in the fall! This will give grass an opportunity to thrive while the weeds and crabgrass are dormant. It will also give your grass that early green headstart next spring.

Aeration helps your lawn breath and drain better. Apply lime when aerating your lawn. A starter fertilizer and overseeding can also be done when/after aerating.

The best aeration tool is a rake. Thatch is easily removed by raking your lawn. Add lime, fertilizer, then overseed and gently rake again.

Earthworms are critical to having rich fertile soil. They do attract a few pests but they are worth it.
